Roadshows in Preston and Rotherham
The end of a very busy week in the world of stress management. 2 Stress Management Competencies Roadshows, 100 delegates, and 600 miles on the road in Autumn wind and rain. I just about managed to hang on to the steering wheel. Thankfully I'm not going anywhere this Monday when the back end of hurricane Katia is due to hit Scotland.
On Tuesday I was pre in Preston at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN). Apart from a minor audio-visual mishap (my fault), all seemed to go pretty well. UCLAN is a dynamic, go-ahead place. It's one of the newer universities and like some others I've visited appears to work very hard, and successfully too, to be at the forefront of everything that's going on.
On Wednesday, I was speaking in Rotherham at Swinden House, where the event was hosted by Mind Your Own Business Network, which is part of NHS Rotherham. This is another example of a workplace health promotion project that offers a lot of excellent support to local employers, especially related to managing mental health at work. Thanks to everyone who made me very welcome in Preston and Rotherham.
This coming Thursday, I'm going to be recording an interview with Helen McGill from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) about all things HSE and stress. It'll be fascinating to get the latest HSE view on work-related stress and well-being. We'll be discussing:
Business Psychologist, Alan Bradshaw, is a specialist in the fields of stress management and the management of wellbeing at work.
